The Downtown Salt Lake City Alliance approched the MDD Design Thinking class at the University of Utah and asked us to identify vacant lots in busy spaces in Salt Lake City and figure out how to activate them until developers were ready to claim the space. The activation projects had to reflect the natural enviroment of the location, be made on a shoestring budget, and give back to the community in the area.
